Faculty Workload in Digital Measures

Updating Faculty Information (Staff)

One of the most important aspects of the workload process is updating faculty information from semester to semester so that the workload reports reflect accurate information.  By census date each fall and spring semester, all faculty assignments should be complete and fully approved in PeopleSoft so that the correct information for the term will transfer from PeopleSoft to Digital Measures. The following information will be uploaded to DM from PeopleSoft to create a Yearly Data record in DM for the semester:

  • Faculty Rank (Title)
  • Tenure status
  • College
  • Department
  • Total FTE Percentage

If a tenured or tenure-track faculty member is active in PeopleSoft, he or she will be active in Digital Measures. If the faculty member does not have an active assignment in PeopleSoft, the Digital Measures profile will automatically be deactivated. If the faculty member has an active assignment in PeopleSoft again at a later time, his/her DM profile will automatically be reactivated.

NTT faculty will remain active in Digital Measures if they have an active PeopleSoft assignment or have had an active PeopleSoft assignment within the last three semesters. After three semesters of inactivity in PeopleSoft, NTT faculty profiles will automatically be deactivated in Digital Measures. If the NTT faculty member has an active assignment in PeopleSoft again at a later time, his/her DM profile will automatically be reactivated.

This applies for the creation of DM profiles for new tenured, tenure-track and NTT faculty, as well – if a new faculty member has an active, approved PeopleSoft assignment, DM will automatically generate his/her DM profile based on the PS assignment.
