New Faculty Orientation for 2015
is scheduled for Aug. 10–15.
On behalf of the UTSA community, welcome to the 2015 New Faculty Orientation. We want to make your transition as seamless as possible, so you will encounter immediate success at UTSA. Therefore, we hope you find the information and interaction at the New Faculty Orientation to be instructive, relevant, and supportive. All the presenters are willing resources to consult for further information. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact anyone during and after their presentations.
UTSA comprises three campuses: The Main Campus, The UTSA Downtown Campus and the UTSA Hemisfair Park Campus which is home to UTSA’s Institute of Texan Cultures (maps). With more than 140 undergraduate and graduate degree programs, The University of Texas at San Antonio provides access to excellence to more than 29,000 students. Founded in 1969, it is the third-largest institution of the University of Texas System. In its brief history, the university has conferred more than 100,000 degrees.
The New Faculty Orientation includes a day with Human Resources representatives on August 10 and the Provost’s Orientation on August 11-12. The special interest workshops included in the Provost’s Orientation are optional, but we strongly encourage you to attend them. Then on either Thursday, August 13 or Friday, August 14, your respective colleges may have their own college orientation.
