SACS/COC Reaffirmation of Accreditation

Our office serves as the coordinator of activities the University undertakes to complete requirements for reaffirmation of accreditation with the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACS/COC), including Compliance Report preparation and coordination of the development of the Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP). In this capacity we work with team members from every area of the University to coordinate our reaffirmation and quality enhancement efforts.

Institutional effectiveness processes involve the systematic and ongoing collection of evidence, analyzing that evidence, and then acting on that evidence to make improvements designed support the University’s mission and strategic planning. Assessment, a part of institutional effectiveness, is the systematic documentation of evidence that can be used to support decisions for changes to improve student learning. We facilitate the development of an institution-wide assessment program by monitoring the process through the University; supporting faculty and staff involved in assessment through training and consultation; conducting survey research; and assisting in the development of assessment tools.
