What is Classrooms+?
Classrooms+ is a comprehensive program to advance student-centered learning by providing faculty with teaching spaces that promote flexibility and engagement for their students. The program includes hands-on workshops to learn to use the spaces, teaching toolkits, and one-on-one support for creating classes that are experiential, adaptable, accessible, and collaborative using evidence-based teaching practices.

Classroom Spaces
Explore UTSA’s newly upgraded spaces that enhance technology for teaching and learning, flex pedagogy, classroom management, effective teaching strategies, and collaboration. There are three types of classroom spaces that support flex pedagogy.
New classroom updates incorporate innovative technology, and enhance UTSA’s learning experience.
Core Classrooms incorporate the standard classroom technologies including single projector displays, document cameras, and inputs for personal devices with upgrades like touch screen computers for digital whiteboarding. Upon request, these rooms can be upgraded for additional video collaboration.
Connected Classrooms are equipped with video conferencing to use Zoom or Teams and more display options for faculty and students to create an immersive learning experience.
Active Classrooms are equipped with all of the core and connected features plus movable furniture and accessories to enhance the active learning experience.
