Upgraded Classrooms
As we continue to enhance the technology for teaching and learning, new standards for our classrooms have been implemented to support video conferencing and collaboration. To identify the capabilities of these new learning spaces, we have created 4 personas to assist you with the different types of classrooms we have built.
Core Classrooms
Incorporates the standard technology needed to support face-to-face classes but can be upgraded, upon request, for additional video collaboration features. This room includes a standard single projector/display, podium, document camera, computer with touch screen for digital whiteboarding, auxiliary inputs for connecting your devices, and wireless presentation connectivity. USB Camera and microphone can be brought in as requested to support connected classes via WebEx, Zoom or Teams.

Connected Classrooms
Connected classrooms have the same infrastructure as our core classrooms and included integrated technology to support software-based video conferencing and collaboration platforms such as Zoom, Teams and WebEx. This technology includes high definition cameras, an enhanced audio system with beamforming microphones and additional displays to support viewing content and people.

Active-Connected Classrooms
Active-Connected classrooms have the same infrastructure as connected classrooms with the addition of multiple monitors for collaboration. Supports the core classroom setup, lecture capture, connected classes, and active learning modes.

Cisco Unified Classrooms
Cisco Unified classrooms provide an immersive learning experience and run exclusively on the WebEx platform. Similar to active-connected classrooms but leverages the tools available from the unified platform to simplify the learning and teaching experience.
