What is the 2024 UT System Conference?

This special UT System Conference at UT San Antonio will examine how generative AI and other emerging technologies are transforming teaching and learning. During the conference, you will collaborate with UT System leaders and faculty to discuss how the UT System can support student success and excel in a Generative AI-integrated world.

Registration: Conference attendees were identified by participating institutions’ planning committees. If you would like to attend on behalf of your institution, email academicinnovation@utsa.edu.

Conference Fees: There are no registration fees for the 2024 UT System Conference. UT System will not provide travel funds for participating institutions.

Modality: The 2024 UT System Conference will not be available online or in a hybrid environment. Certain sessions will be available for viewing on Academic Innovation’s YouTube channel after the conference concludes.

Speaker Instructions

  • For presenters who are using their own computers, a variety of common cord adapters will be available, but please bring any cords or special equipment you need. 
  • For presenters who are using a conference-provided computer, please find a UT San Antonio staffer in a conference t-shirt to help you set up at least 10 minutes prior to your presentation in your designated session room.
  • Presenters: See “ Wifi” for login information.

Conference Site Details

Check-In: Once you arrive in San Antonio, check in during the March 6 reception at UTSA Southwest Campus at Coates Chapel or on Conference Day 1 at UTSA Downtown Campus outside the Buena Vista Theater. At check-in, you will receive your conference credentials, a small gift and conference materials. 

Parking

UTSA Southwest Campus: During the Coates Chapel reception at UTSA Southwest, free parking is provided in lot SW1. View a campus map here.

Downtown Campus: UTSA has provided parking at its campuses free of charge in the Cattleman's Square Lot between West Commerce St. and Buena Vista St. at the UTSA Downtown Campus. Get directions using Apple Maps or Google Maps. 

Accessibility: UT San Antonio wants you to have a fulfilling conference experience. Please complete the registration form and note any accommodations you may require or contact conference organizers at academicinnovation@utsa.edu

Charging Stations: UT San Antonio has provided a Charging Station on the conference site. Please bring your own charging adapters and cords, as Academic Innovation will only have a limited supply.

Conference Wifi: Y ou're invited to use the UT San Antonio wireless internet at no charge. Select the network: AirRowdy_Guest and login in with your UT institution credentials . Eduroam is also available.  

Refreshments and Meals

  • Light snacks and coffee will be provided on Thursday and Friday Morning
  • The conference will provide lunch on Thursday and Friday
  • There will be receptions with heavy appetizers on Wednesday and Thursday evening
