Instructor Roles

Official instructor(s) of record for the course only.

IMPORTANT: Users with this role will appear in Simple Syllabus, Course Evaluations, and other applications that pull data from Canvas.

For individuals who are not listed as the instructor of record in Banner but share teaching responsibilities and/or have a legitimate need for permission equivalent to those of the Teacher role.

SDS Provider This role enables service providers (Student Disability Services staff and associated service providers) to review published and unpublished course content. Individuals with this role will be able to provide services for students registered with Student Disability Services (such as ASL interpreting, live captioning, SDS Adaptive Testing Center, and SDS Alternative Format).
