Rachael Miller

Director of Experiential Learning

Rachael Miller is the Director of Experiential Learning at the University of Texas at San Antonio. With an M.S. in Recreation and Leisure Program Management, she has over 15 years of experience leading experiential learning for diverse populations. She excels in developing programs and curriculum for students to increase self-awareness, cultivate transferable skills, and prototype college and career experiences. As a certified Life Design facilitator, Rachael supports students in designing fulfilling careers and well-rounded lives. She provides university wide support for experiential learning and unites the UTSA community in establishing best practices to increase high-impact learning opportunities for all students.

Director of Student Innovation

Erica is the Director of Student Innovation and Entrepreneurship at the Najim Center for Innovation and Career Advancement. With an M.S. in Organizational Leadership and pursuing a doctorate in Educational Leadership with an emphasis on Innovation, she has over ten years of higher education experience. Erica excels in creating sustainable programs, fostering partnerships, and promoting equitable opportunities. She has developed frameworks for entrepreneurship and project-based learning. As a first-generation college graduate, Erica values experiential learning and its impact on student success. Her favorite advice to students: "You miss 100% of the shots you never take." - Wayne Gretzky.

Program Coordinator

Antonia Taylor is the Program Coordinator of Experiential Programs for the Najim Center of Innovation & Career Advancement. Raised in the sun city of El Paso, Texas, she is a lover of all things people! Antonia received a bachelor's degree in Public Relations and Creative Writing from the University of Texas at El Paso and currently attends UTSA as a graduate student. She will receive her Master's degree in Public Administration in May 2023. Her passions include social justice, writing, and art. Antonia's hobbies include playing video games, window shopping, writing, and sitting in Half-Price Books.

Nashaly Nunez-Rivera

Nashaly Nunez-Rivera

Student Employment Specialist

Nashaly Nunez-Rivera is the Student Employment Specialist for Career Engaged Learning at UTSA, where she’s also an alumnus. Nashaly graduated in May of 2023 with her Bachelor of Arts in interdisciplinary studies, specializing in 4-8 math/science education. Driven by a passion for education and a commitment to enhancing youth success and self-development, Nashaly brings a dynamic perspective to her role. She is deeply connected to her Puerto Rican heritage and upbringing in a tight-knit family. Nashaly values her cultural roots and strives to incorporate them into her professional endeavors. In her current role, she focuses on professionalizing student employment across campus by collaborating with supervisors in identifying, enhancing, and creating more opportunities for marketable skills, thus supporting student employees in their “first destination” career development. Drawing from her own experiences as a student employee at UTSA, she is honored to contribute to initiatives that significantly impacted her personal and professional growth. Outside of work, Nashaly enjoys a variety of hobbies, including exercising, playing volleyball, indulging in arts and crafts—particularly painting—baking, and watching movies.
