UTSA welcomes new University Registrar
Within the division of Strategic Enrollment, Eric K. Cooper has been appointed UTSA’s new associate vice provost for Enrollment Operations and University Registrar. In his new role, he oversees the Office of the Registrar, Undergraduate Admissions Processing, One Stop Enrollment Center, Student Information Security, and Testing Services. In addition, he will work collaboratively with faculty on academic and admission policy, assisting the strategic development for enrollment operations, and ensuring the management, maintenance and integrity of student academic records.
Cooper recently returned to UTSA from Texas A&M University-San Antonio where he rose from assistant vice president to interim vice president for enrollment management within a five-year period. Prior to that he spent seven years at UTSA in leadership roles within Student Enrollment Services. Overall, Cooper has more than 23 years of experience in higher education admissions, registrar, financial aid, advising and enrollment services. He holds a Ph.D. in educational psychology from Capella University.
Kristina Garza has been appointed assistant vice provost for enrollment marketing, communication and systems after serving in an interim capacity for the past year. In this role, she oversees the university’s CRM administration, enrollment information systems, and enrollment services marketing and communications. She holds an MBA from UTSA.
