Academic Affairs launches virtual offices for fall 2020 semester
To keep our Roadrunner community safe this fall while remaining accessible, UTSA’s colleges and most academic support areas are offering virtual front desk services.
Open standard 8 am. to 5 p.m. business hours Monday through Friday, students and visitors may drop into any virtual office via Zoom video conferencing platform to get the help they need.
The virtual office hours function similarly to regular front desk reception areas, except visitors enter a virtual waiting room rather than a physical one. Each virtual office is staffed with knowledgeable employees who can help answer questions and schedule follow-up appointments as necessary.
- Visit Academic Affairs’ virtual office directory for details and to enter any of the college and vice provost virtual offices.
All UTSA students, faculty and staff have access to a free, university-licensed Zoom account when they use their university email address. View UTSA’s Zoom resources and support page for more information.
UTSA Libraries and the division of Academic Innovation are available through a variety of support channels.
The John Peace and Downtown Libraries are both physically open and offer several different virtual services available to support the academic needs of students and faculty. As always, anyone may chat with a member of their Blue Crew to get immediate support.
The division of Academic Innovation – which brings together experts in teaching, technology, and virtual learning – offers many ways in which students, faculty, and staff can engage with their services to enhance their academic experience, from 24/7 Blackboard support, to digital accessibility virtual office hours, to weekly webinars and virtual Q&A sessions. Visit their website for details.
