Call for Nominations: Examples of Excelencia

Editor's note: This message was sent on Feb. 1 from the Excelencia Tiger Team to deans, associate deans, vice provosts, and the chairs of Faculty Senate, Staff Senate and Department Chairs Council.

UTSA is seeking nominations for its Excelencia in Education 2022 Examples of Excelencia application. The institution can submit application materials for the Examples of Excelencia awards in three different categories:

  1. baccalaureate programs,
  2. graduate programs, and
  3. community-based organizations/partnerships.  
      
As a part of this process, we are asking the Roadrunner community to tell us about the program(s) in your area that are focused on student success, and especially those programs focused on serving Latino students. 

Please download the Nomination Form and submit it by Friday, February 18 to excelencia@utsa.edu. 
 
A university committee will review the applications, select which programs will be formally nominated, and notify each applicant in early March. A complete nomination will be due to Excelencia in Education by April 1, and university staff will provide additional information and be available to assist with that process.
