UTSA leverages San Antonio’s hospitality industry in new undergraduate program

One of UTSA’s newest academic programs is building on San Antonio’s flourishing hospitality and tourism industry. Paul Ardoin: Director of new degree program builds community of future filmmakers at UTSA

When UTSA launched the Film and Media Studies major in fall 2022, Paul Ardoin and his fellow faculty were excited to meet the need for an underserved area of the arts at the university. Four UTSA students win prestigious Goldwater Scholarships

UTSA students Zenetta Hinojosa (psychology), Dylan Moran (chemistry), Hamza Patwa (physics) and Lance Schwegman (microbiology and immunology) have been named Barry Goldwater Scholars. For the second time in recent history, UTSA has more Goldwater scholarship recipients than any other college or university in Texas. UTSA was also one of only 20 schools that had four or more scholars. Read more

UTSA celebrates more than 5,000 Roadrunners at today’s Commencement ceremonies

To celebrate its Class of 2024, UTSA is hosting San Antonio’s largest Commencement today at the Alamodome. More than 5,000 Roadrunners are eligible to graduate from UTSA, including students expected to graduate today and this summer. In all, more than 4,100 are expected to receive a bachelor’s degree, more than 800 are expected to receive a master’s degree and 90 are expected to receive a doctoral degree. Read more

Four years later, first cohort of UTSA Bold Promise students is fulfilling the promise

As thousands of UTSA students celebrate their achievements at Commencement events this week, the university also is celebrating a milestone for its Bold Promise program, which covers 100% of tuition and fees for four years for eligible students. UTSA welcomed the first class of Bold Promise students in Fall 2020, and approximately 300 students from the initial cohort are graduating this academic year, joining nearly 100 who graduated in 2022-2023 and 2021-2022.
