UTSA seeks Clustered & Connected hiring proposals from faculty
Editorial note: This message was sent via email to all UTSA faculty from Provost and Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs Heather Shipley.
Dear Faculty,
With support from the UT System Regents' Research Excellence Program, UTSA continues to strengthen its research enterprise by recruiting world-class faculty in strategic areas. Last year, this funding supported the recruitment for faculty positions across six transdisciplinary research clusters.
As UTSA and UT Health San Antonio move toward integration to create a premier global university, we have a historic opportunity to reimagine our collective research enterprise. To support this effort, UTSA is once again using the Clustered & Connected Hiring Program (CCP) to solicit faculty proposals for new research clusters that will advance our competitiveness and national prominence.
CCP is designed to recruit leading scholars who will drive innovation, address critical societal challenges and advance the university’s capacity to meet UT System and state goals as outlined by the Texas Legislature.
We invite you and your colleagues to submit proposals for transdisciplinary cluster hires that build on existing expertise and explore transformative new directions.
Proposals are due May 16, 2025. Full details are available on the CCP webpage.
Thank you for taking part in shaping the university’s research future and I look forward to your ideas. For questions, please contact provost@utsa.edu.
