Outdoor Learning Environments (OLÉ)
The Outdoor Learning Environments (OLÉ) were developed to provide multipurpose opportunities to faculty, students, and staff. The spaces are part of the Academic Success District, a Main Campus-wide initiative that integrates digital and in-person learning technology and resources and promotes collaborative learning in shared spaces.
The locations, selected for the amount of shade and power available, are designed to be versatile meeting spaces. The movable furniture (chairs, tables, and mobile markerboards) was selected for maximum flexibility in multiple configurations that accommodate different learning styles. Exterior rated monitors and speakers are located at each location to facilitate collaboration and real-time engagement with audiences outside the space. Each Outdoor Learning Environment’s boundaries are designated by planters that separate it from common spaces.
Capacity: Each of the following locations comfortably seats 25 individuals and has outlets and monitors to connect with your digital tools.
Availability: The OLÉ spaces are available to be reserved seven days a week from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Availability of the spaces will be noted at the OLÉ site and on 25Live.
