Biomedically-oriented COS and BME. Soph – Sr.

A research training and support program designed to increase the number of students from groups underrepresented in biomedical and behavioral research who complete Ph.D. degree programs in these fields.

Environmental Science-Oriented Undergraduates – All levels.

A model to integrate mentoring between community entities to promote and enhance career development for underrepresented minorities in conservation and natural resources.

Neuroscience-Oriented Jr/Sr

Pre-Ph.D. research training program for undergraduates. Hosted by the Health Science Center, but some research takes place at the UTSA Campus.

A research training program that allows work-study-eligible undergraduates to be paid for performing laboratory research in a UTSA research laboratory and provides pre-Ph.D. training.

Honors Research

Research may be performed at UTSA within the context of earning Honors through the Honors College and through a number of the Colleges or Departments.

Highest Honors. Students admitted to the Honors College can opt to earn Highest Honors, which requires that they perform research and submit a thesis.

Students from any of the College of Sciences departments who have a GPA of 3.0 or above have the opportunity to earn College Honors. Consult your advisor to learn more about this process.
