Provides students underserved/underrepresented groups with opportunities to participate in on-going research projects at UTSA and gain skills for doctoral education.

A research training program that assists underrepresented undergraduates gain quality research experience and training to prepare them for doctoral education.

A research training and support program designed to increase the number of students from groups underrepresented in biomedical and behavioral research who complete Ph.D. degree programs in these fields.

The Scholars Program exposes students who desire to pursue a Ph.D. to graduate work and research.

Environmental Science-Oriented Undergraduates – All levels.
A model to integrate mentoring between community entities to promote and enhance career development for underrepresented minorities in conservation and natural resources.

Neuroscience-Oriented Jr/Sr
Pre-Ph.D. research training program for undergraduates. Hosted by the Health Science Center, but some research takes place at the UTSA Campus.

A research training program that allows work-study-eligible undergraduates to be paid for performing laboratory research in a UTSA research laboratory and provides pre-Ph.D. training.

Research may be performed at UTSA within the context of earning Honors through the Honors College and through a number of the Colleges or Departments.
Highest Honors. Students admitted to the Honors College can opt to earn Highest Honors, which requires that they perform research and submit a thesis.
